Who else feels like they’ve played a hardcore game of football (soccer) today? Jamie has left us bereft and we dont know how to catch our breaths.
Well, Mr. Dornan sure has kept us all working (and gawking) hard as he played in today’s #Game4Grenfell charity football match in West London this afternoon. The game took place to show support and raise funds for the Grenfell Tower Disaster, which devastated the hearts of Londoners everywhere after a fire engulfed the public housing complex on the 24th floor causing at least 80 deaths and upwards of 70 injuries, in June of this year.
The game took place at Loftus Road Stadium, home of the Queens Park Rangers Football Club, where celebrities came out to pay their respects, fundraise and partake in the charity match in an effort to alleviate some of the burdens facing the victims and their families.
Jamie first met with fans and was greeted warmly by them when he arrived to the stadium for the pre-game practice and warm-up. He spent a great deal of time with this fans, signing autographs and taking pictures before heading in to meet his teammates.
Fans were even stealth enough to grab some videos of Jamie arriving, posting their video interactions on Instagram and Snapchat. Some fans were even lucky enough to get personalized greetings from Jamie. You can check out all of those videos on our Instagram, reposted from the original sources.

IT’S GAME TIME!
It was clear from the getco that Jamie was in the mood to play a good game of football (soccer) and had been looking forward to this match for some time. He played with pride, determination, conviction and passion, so evident that it beaded off his flushed complexion. Jamie played for Team Shearer and donned a green uniform which, against the green grass, eluded radiation. As he weaved in and out of the field, between players, stealing the ball, his real life leading lady, Amelia, was cheering him on from the sideines, proud as ever.

Jamie wore the #9 and was inadmissible on the field as he tore through players with the ball and lunged towards the goal, at times even tripping as he vigorously attacked the play. Many fans were asking whether his jersey would be donated for charity, which we’re unsure of at this moment although the thought is tempting and would definitely generate further profit for the charity. We’re hopeful, nonetheless.

As a recap, we put this video together of Jamie, his fans, his teammates and the day as a whole. It was such a feel-good experience that we hope this continues to keep you PUMPED UP about it. I’m just gonna say it in North American terms – Golfing Jamie has competition with Soccer Jamie. And I’m feeling very conflicted right now.
Jamie is now headed to LA for some promotional shoots that have been kept rather low-key, but the fandom is resourceful as always and have come to many of their own conclusions. Nothing has been confirmed for his schedule apart from The Fall being nominated for an award at the 2017 TV Choice Awards, scheduled to take place in the UK on September 4, 2017. Although there’s no confirmation whether Jamie will be in attendance or not, we’re super stoked that the next Jamie we see will allow us to relive parts of Paul Spector, if at least for one more time.
Congratulations on the game played and the money raised today, Jamie. You’re heart has swelled larger than the moon itself today, yet again.
UPDATED: The jerseys will be auctioned off at a date which is to be determined.
