With how tortured Christian seems to be, I wonder why he just lets her go?! He could have let her in further, but he couldn’t see past his early life devastation. To have been through so much, I couldn’t even imagine, but sometimes you have to let people in. Throughout the story Ana opens his heart little by little, but he neglects to see or embrace it.
What do you think would have happened if Ana stayed? Would Christian have offered the whole vanilla relationship? Would he have realized how much he loved and needed her?
