I think it is about time to set the record straight. In no way shape or form is Fifty Shades of Grey about abuse or rape. It is about a love that develops through some out of the ordinary circumstances for most of us, but it still develops into that passionate and very intense relationship that we have all grown to love about Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
I am not saying BDSM is for everyone, but let’s get the facts straight people. BDSM relationships are built on trust, probably a whole lot more trust than most people have with their partner. Each party enters into a BDSM freely and there are parameters drawn. Can you say the same thing about physically abusing or raping someone?! I doubt it.
Here is a little guide to help you understand the differences. Don’t cry wolf too many times, or people stop listening. So let’s get the facts straight and give Jamie, Dakota, and the rest of the cast and crew a break. They are exploring uncharted territory, but I think that is a good thing. Too often people hide behind their insecurities. They are too afraid to voice what they want or need. What are your thoughts?
